Seahawks Percy Harvin Selling Twin Cities House

Here at TCS we are no Real Estalker, in fact up until this point we have never even commented on real estate. We are big fans of her though and today we are going to try our best impersonation with a Twin Cities twist!

The often embattled and constantly migrained wide receiver Percy Harvin was traded by the Minnesota Vikings to the Seattle Seahawks in March. It was a contentious decision but the fallout and debate seemed to pass by quickly. It seems throughout the hustle and shuffle of the trade, the final goodbye to Minnesota from the former Florida Gator wasn’t an issue until this weekend. That is when Percy put his Eden Prairie home on the market, putting the Vikings and Twin Cities fully in his rear view mirror.

According to records, the property is nearly a half acre situated on a lovely cul-de-sac and comes with a lake view. The house was built in 1990 and is bulky, coming in at 4,364 sq ft and features 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Other highlights include a four season porch and amusement room. The price tag is a modest $580,000.

Percy bought the crib in April 2009 – immediately after being drafted by the Vikings – for $525,000. So it would appear even after signing a new nearly $70 M contract, PH wants to suck all he can out of this economy and try to turn a meer $55,000 profit. We will have to see how that works out for him.

We got a good number of photos of the residence – via northstarmls.com – and we must say, the house set up looks more fit for a family than it does a single 20-something athlete. Clearly he didn’t hire an interior guy to make the bachelor pad just that, a bachelor pad. There is potential though and a lot of damn space for any interested parties.
