Leslie Frazier Lists Gated Bearpath Townhome

Leslie Frazier's Bearpath House

Oh to be fired, and get paid a lovely severance by a professional sports team. That’s the hardship that former Minnesota Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier is currently dealing with. Dropped by the club at the end of 2013, and subsequently hired by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he has just listed his townhouse in the exclusive and gated Bearpath community of Eden Prairie.

Leslie and the Misses bought the place back in Spring 2011 – right after finishing his interim run as head coach and officially being named Brad Childress‘ successor – for $580,000. Thus with the asking price of $639,000, apparently the severance package wasn’t enough and they are looking for an approximate 10% profit in the sale.

And to the property, there isn’t anything exceptional about it, looking beyond being a part of the only gated community in Minnesota. Sure it’s big, coming in at over 3,500 square feet with 4 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. Your local agent would probably try to push the hardwood floors and enameled cabinetry / millwork. They may also focus on the quartz and granite countertops, or the lovely little office in the walkout lower level. Like we said though, nothing really sticks out about it to us, it’s just rather mundane.

As a part of the Bearpath Country Club, the home’s backyard is obviously part of the – Jack Nicklaus designed – golf course, one of the front-9 fairways. They also have to pay an association fee, which comes in at what we feel is a minute $237 / month.

Now whether you agree with the decision to fire Coach Frazier or not, seems the Vikings – like a high school or MTV show – can’t escape drama lately. From Chris Kluwe‘s Deadspin rants, to the failed Josh Freeman experiment, to the electronic pulltabs raking in less money than Justin Bieber‘s designated driver, it should be an interesting run at TCF Bank Stadium in the coming years …

And though this listing makes sense, we continue to wonder why so many of the folks involved with the organization have been selling their Twin Cities houses lately? (See center John Sullivan and quarterback Christian Ponder.) Are the Minnesota Vikings just a big old sinking ship, and not just when it comes to Super Bowls anymore?

Seller: Leslie & Gale Frazier
Location: Eden Prairie, MN
Price: $639,000
Size: 3,512 sq ft, 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms
