Former University of Minnesota wrestler Brock Lesnar is selling his Twin Cities house. READ FULL POST >>
Someone beat us to the punch last week reporting that Jared Allen had put his Twin Cities home up for sale … We don’t know who was first to report it – nor do we really care – but it doesn’t matter, we don’t take too kindly to someone stepping onto our Minnesota celebrity real estate turf. And yeah, we haven’t been as active lately – things have been busy, you guys – but we won’t go down without a fight, just like WWE Superstar Brock Lesnar.
Speaking of Brockstar – no not his recent huge win over The Undertaker at Wrestlemania XXX – the heavyweight’s Independence* home hit the market late last week with the lightweight asking price of $799,000.
The place isn’t as big as one would expect the 285 pounder to occupy. It comes it at a paltry 3,247 square feet, though the lot is where you get your monies worth as it sits on a blistering 43 acres which includes wooded areas and a pond. All down a lengthy driveway too. There is also a huge heated “storage barn” – more or less an detached garage – with enough space to host your own wrestling bouts, or store four-wheelers, or your tank / armory collection … Whatever floats your boat.
Other amenities include a custom oak cabinet kitchen, granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, separate formal dining room, hardwood floors, great views from the vaulted ceiling family room with gas fireplace / in-floor heating and a hot tub.
It’s funny, we can kind of envision the man – sorry, ‘The Next Big Thing’ – sitting around the campfire here sippin’ a Miller Lite, or shooting shotguns at geese, or playing with his random ass redneck toys in his garage. It’s very country and very fit for him.
Brock bought the compund back in 2003 – fresh off his initial run in the WWE – for $783,500. So he is looking for a modest gain over the nearly ten years owning it. That said, since the place is completely empty, we assume the former University of Minnesota National Champ hasn’t been living in it for awhile … Garage / field kegger anybody?? We haven’t been to one of those since high school.
And now, waiting for City Pages – and the rest of them
hacks heels – to steal this story in 3 … 2 … 1 …
Seller: Brock Lesnar
Location: Independence, MN
Size: 3,247 sq ft, 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms
*Some listings have it as Maple Plain, though that is just semantics. It is west of the west metro folks, the sticks if you will.
